Finding the Right Formula to Stay Fit and Healthy after the Holiday Season
When your small becomes medium and when almost half of your tita’s in the Christmas reunion told you that “Uyy, tumaba ka.” (Hey, you got fat) Maybe it’s time to think and wonder… “Uhmm. Bakit kaya?” (Why is that?) Maybe it was the lechon that you ate last night and the fruit salad after that, but don’t worry we will get rid of your Noche Buena and Media Noche leftovers in your tummy. We will say no to “fat” and yes to “fit”. Here’s our secret formula to stay fit and healthy after the holiday season!
This is the first secret formula to lose some weight. Show off your Lebron James moves or Stephen Curry moves. Shoot that 3 points and sweat your fats!. It will increase your energy level and burn some of your calories and fats. You can also take walks with your favorite person or with your family. In addition, do some cardio exercises like swimming, running, and biking. Listen to some party songs while you are exercising it can also boost your energy and finish your daily exercise.
The second formula is a balanced diet. A lot of us may complain that diet is hard because of the delicious foods that were made by your parents and grandparents. But, according to some studies, having the habit of eating a balanced diet isn’t hard as you think. Eating vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, whole grains, and lean proteins will reduce some risk of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. Cook your meals and add them. It will also ensure that you have the required nutrients that the body needs. It is never too late to start this exciting habit! A little bit of green makes life exciting.
The third formula is to count your calories. According to calorie calculator (a friendly calorie calculator website), an average people need 2,361 calories per day to maintain their weight; 1,861 calories per day to lose 1pound per week while 2,861 calories per day to gain 1 pound per week. Based on these statistics there is an appropriate amount of calories intake we should consider for us to get fit and have a healthy lifestyle but as the holiday season begins, the time of endless eating and a non-stop thanksgiving party will result from us to forget the rightful amount we are targeting. So as you count your blessings this 2017 and the upcoming year, let us not forget to count the calories we are taking, for us to have a fit and healthy body throughout the year.
